Flash Fiction Month 2012

Flash Fiction Month 2012

July is Flash Fiction Month.

Every day, from July 1st through July 31st, participants are asked to submit an original piece of flash fiction between 55 and 1000 words. There are thirty-one days in July, and that means thirty-one short stories. Any topic. Any genre.

Don't be intimidated by the thought of having to write exactly thirty-one stories in thirty-one days. Flash Fiction Month isn't about deadlines, it's about having a go.

So sign up here to register yourself for a month of fiction, friendship and fun.

Every week prizes will be on offer for the best submissions. To be eligible for prizes, you'll not only need to complete all seven stories for that week and upload them before each day is through, you'll also need to complete our challenges. We can't tell you what they will be this year, but check out previous years for an idea of what you can expect.

We're always in need of your generous donations to fund our prizes. So if you have points to spare, or prizes to donate, head on over to Flash-Fic-Month and help us out.

Coming up with thirty-one original stories can be tough, so every year we ask participants, or their supporters, to submit ideas for stories they'd like to see to our Prompt Bank. There, you'll find a collection of imaginative, inspiring and impressive ideas to get you started.

If the thought of writing thirty-one stories is too much, you can lend your support to the participants by heading on over to the Official Flash Fiction Month Chat Room and giving all the participants the moral support they deserve. Go on.

Latecomers are always welcome. Just be sure to read the rules, :+fav: the news, and most of all, have fun.

Sounds... AMAZING! Sparks of ideas come so much more easily to me than elaboration; this is right up my alley. I'd LOVE to give it a go this year!
