In the second week of August we asked you to edit the two pieces for which you received critiques in week one.
Keep editing your first two pieces until you're happy with them, then post links to the "before" and "after" pieces here. We want to see how your pieces have changed.
We're posting this journal now so that the journals are all in order and stuff. Rest assured that you have a little longer to finish your editing. Partly because we were late in posting the journal that told you to start editing, and partly because you probably can't spend too much time editing*.
You have until the end of next week (Friday 23rd) to finish up your edits to the first two pieces and post the results here. Expect another journal shortly with a new set of August challenges. Please note there are still people looking for beta readers.

Addressing the upcoming change in group design
Greetings. It has been brought to our attention that groups are getting migrated to a new design soon, as per the following journal: We deemed it proper to give you a heads-up, as our Head of Tech (who is, unfortunately, still bleary from having their hibernation interrupted) has little idea what exactly is going to happen - what we have gleaned from the aforementioned journal is that some data loss will occur and that the vocal DeviantArt users are displeased about the change. Hence, we have taken action and backed the @FlashFictionMonth group's information into our stash as well as are working with the archiving enthusiast @WindySilver (thank you for bringing this to our attention! :dummy: ) to ensure that the group has a fully navigable group page available for browsing on the Wayback Machine. FFM is migrating
Contrary to the popular fear, we are indeed still alive. Our skeleton crew has put together a barebones migration site.
