Welcome to Flash Fiction Month, day 20.
Another week of madness and mayhem begins! There's no challenge today but we hope you're all feeling well rested after the weekend, you're going to need it for the things we have in store.
Yesterday we asked you to find inspiration within music, and in keeping with that theme, today we'd like you to do the same with a more visual medium. Be it a photograph, a painting, or any other artistic medium you can think of, find a piece of art that inspires you and tell us what it evokes in you.
They do say a picture is worth a thousand words, so this should be easy for old pros like yourselves.
VIVA!
Instructions
Flash Fiction Month is about writing – and posting – a story of between 55 and 1000 words in length every day for the month of July. We’ll make it easy by posting prompts every day. We’ll make it fun by cheering each other on. We’ll make it ridiculously hard by posting challenges for you to attempt every couple of days.
Paste a link to your flash fiction piece for July 20th in the comments below.
Every day, there will be a new deviation where you can post a link to your piece of flash fiction for the day.
Everyone loves comments and encouragement, so do make an effort to encourage your fellow Flash Fiction Month participants. Let's help each other to have the best possible experience. A quick comment lets a writer know somebody's reading, and we all love that.
Reminders
For those reading this who still haven't signed up for thirty-one days of fun, flashing (not suitable for readers with photo-sensitive epilepsy) and fiction, learn about Flash Fiction Month here, and then sign up here. It's never too late to join in the action.
If all you're doing during July is writing thirty-one stories, you're missing out on two thirds of the fun. Check out the official Chat Room, where you can find encouragement, new prompts, and insanity in abundance.
And folks, don't forget to pay a visit to the Prompt Bank, it is after all a voracious beast, and one can never have too many prompts.
